Renault presented one of the most fantastic concepts of recent times

We've known for quite a few years that Renault can produce an absolutely fantastic and top-notch sports car . Starting with the great-grandfather 5 Turbo , through the Clio V6 and ending with the Mégane RS R26.R. However, the new Twin'Run concept is a car that can surpass the aforementioned legends.

At first glance, however, you might ask why… But then you read the technical data and believe that this little guy will absolutely get you. The basis of the car is a tubular frame , on which sits a body made of polycarbonate. Combined with the carbon panels of the body (roof, front splitter, wheel arches…) it adds up to a total weight of only 950 kg !

The engine is powered by a 3.5-liter, 320-horsepower, mid-mounted six-cylinder , which has its origins in the Mégane Trophy racing car. The maximum torque value of 379 Nm is available from 4850 rpm. The top speed is 250 km/h, acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h takes 4.5 seconds. Has your dick won you over yet? Then know that the six-speed sequential transmission, assisted by a limited-slip differential, sends power to the rear wheels (weight distribution 43:57)!

At the same time, the dimensions, 3680 mm in length, 1750 mm in width and 1493 mm in height, make the Twin'Run among ordinary city cars. However, even after a cursory look at the design, you will definitely recognize that this car is not about boringly shuffling around the city. A heavily sculpted front end, flared fenders, 18-inch wheels, a rear wing or war livery. What a difference compared to the Twin'Z electric sibling . The legendary 5 Turbo Renault is referred to by the number 5 on the hood and sides of the little hornet's body.

The interior is very spartan – it offers a pair of Sparco seats , a racing steering wheel, a shift knob and handbrake levers, a pair of switches on the "center console" and a 5.5-inch LCD screen in front of the driver, which informs him of the most important events inside and around the car.

Anyone who wants to see the model live must go to the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix , which is being held this weekend. This is where Renault presents the Twin'Run. We do not know if we will ever see something that will be at least close to the production version, but Renault intends to use some design elements on the new generation of the small Twingo .
