Renault has introduced a new version of the Trafic van

The Renault Trafic has been on the market since 1980 and during that time 1.6 million units were sold in two generations. This summer, the generation with serial number 3 will hit the market, which in turn will bring the world of vans a little closer to regular passenger cars .

At first glance, you can tell that this Trafic has only a name and a twin in the form of the Opel Vivaro in common with the previous one. The large front mask together with the large logo of the brand indicate belonging to the family of Renault cars, and in combination with the lighter colors of the body , the unpainted mask together with the large suction hole in the bumper can make quite a show. Compared to its predecessor, the lights have also increased in size and more moldings have been added when viewed from the profile.

Under the hood, we will find a pair of 1.6 dCi four-cylinder diesels , which will differ from each other in the number of turbochargers. Although we don't know the exact data of either unit, the twin-turbo dCi should run at less than 6 l/100 km, and with the single-turbo engine, the Trafic should be 1 l/100 km more economical than its two-liter dCi predecessor.

As with any delivery, plus points will be collected mainly for the diverse range of versions , which Renault knows of course and boasts that it will offer up to 270 versions. These include a classic box van , a combined version for cargo and passengers, a minibus or a chassis with a cab. There will also be a choice of two body lengths and two heights .
