Renault presented a limited edition of the Captur model

The Renault Captur range has so far only included front-wheel drive models, similar to competitors from the urban SUV segment . However, thanks to Renault's tie-up with Norwegian clothing brand Helly Hansen , it looks like the Captur can finally venture into lighter terrain as well.

It is true that Renault still does not offer four-wheel drive, but with the front drive you will at least get the Extended Grip system , i.e. an assistant when driving in poor conditions. It works in three modes (Road, Loose Ground and Expert) and along with it the Captur also got M&S tires (Mud and Snow). The Road mode helps when driving on a classic road covered with snow, ice or rain and is automatically switched on whenever the Loose Ground or Expert mode is set at speeds above 40 km/h.

Visual changes mainly include a new design of seventeen-inch wheels , protective elements in the front and rear bumpers and several interesting combinations of body and roof colors. The exclusive Flamme red color can be combined with a black or ivory roof as well as a body color roof, Etoilé black is combined with an ivory roof, Cassiopée gray with a black roof and Ivory also with a black roof.

In the interior, we find the R-Link multimedia system along with spicy upholstery, red decors, fake carbon trim on the steering wheel, chrome door sills and front carpets. The equipment includes, for example, automatic air conditioning, rear parking sensors or a camera, cruise control with a speed limiter or fog lights with cornering lights.

The drive is handled by the same trio of units as in the standard model. Gasolines are represented by the Energy TCe90 and TCe120 units with an EDC dual-clutch automatic transmission, while diesels are represented by the Energy dCi90 unit with a manual or automatic dual-clutch transmission.
