Jeep has modernized the Compass SUV

At the Detroit Auto Show, Jeep presented a slightly modernized Compass SUV . After its overseas debut, it is also being released in Europe and will be officially shown to local customers in a week.

To mark the occasion, Jeep released a short press release introducing the Compass . The biggest change is the use of the new six-speed PowerTech automatic , which reduces consumption and emissions of all versions.

Europe also saw specific changes in equipment. Fog lights, air conditioning, keyless entry, cruise control, hill start assistant or electric and heated mirrors are standard on all versions (there are three in the range – Sport, Limited and North ) from the new model year. New side airbags and a rear parking camera appear in the menu of optional equipment.

The design changes are the same as on the overseas version. It means a new grille , darkened front and rear lights, modified trunk lid, new 18-inch wheels and also new mirror covers. The interior received new color and material schemes .
