Range Rover Evoque Desert Warrior with 275 horsepower

If you are a fan of Range Rover off-road vehicles, then you will surely be interested in the smallest model from the range called Evoque . True, this model is intended more for the female part of the population, but now a rough version called the Range Rover Evoque Desert Warrior 3 has been introduced, which tries to attract attention wherever it can.

This extreme Range is built on the basis of the standard model Evoque, although how can you take it, because apart from the bodywork, this Evoque has nothing in common with the standard version. The guys from the Excite Rally Raid racing team took care of the modification of the car together with Rabe Race Cars. With this modified car, they decided to compete in the FIA Off Road Rally in 2013 and the famous Dakar Rally at the beginning of 2014.
According to the opening photo, it is clear that this will be a great piece. Huge changes have taken place under the hood, under which sits a newly tuned 3.0 V6 diesel engine taken from BMW , which provides 275 hp and 650 Nm. A six-speed sequential ZF gearbox will then take care of the shifting. But of course that's not all. The Evoque has several important modifications for off-road racing. I will mention, for example, lateral overload detection or the tire contact control system.
The entire car then received giant Compomotive Atacama Rally discs, which are shod in BF Goodrich Desert Race G tires. To achieve a long range, the car received an enlarged tank, which grew from the original 58 liters to a volume of 260 liters, and according to the information of both teams, the Evoque should be Desert Warrior 3 capable of traveling up to 1200 kilometers. The chassis was also modified, receiving double suspension units and eight manually adjustable Rieger shock absorbers. The entire modification required a slight increase in weight to a value of 1900 kg.
As I mentioned in the introduction, the Range Rover Evoque Desert Warrior 3 will be deployed as early as next year in 3 copies. Famous drivers Martin Rowe, John Hardy and Andrew Coley will sit behind the wheel of the car.
