In January of this year, the Chinese Qoros predicted that it would show its complete model range in Geneva – a sedan in serial form , a hatchback and a station wagon in conceptual form. To date, the brand management has released the first concept photos, new information on all three variants, as well as the new name Qoros 3 .
Qoros 3 Sedan
Definitely the cleanest model of the brand in terms of design . The elegant body profile is complemented by a distinctive front and rear section. At the front, the lights attract attention, but mainly the radiator grille with a distinctive logo, at the back, large group lights attract attention.
As indicated earlier, the interior will receive a kind of imitation of a tablet instead of a center console. Of course, the classic exhausts and ventilation and air conditioning controls will not disappear, but you would look for the radio panel in vain.
The 4615 mm long car comfortably accommodates four passengers (the fifth sits classically in the middle in the back) and their 450 liters of luggage, the four-cylinder 1.6 petrol engine is supposed to take care of their quick and safe movement. From the beginning of its career, the 1.6 is to be offered in two versions – it will offer 126 hp without turbocharging , and 156 hp with turbo doping . A 6-speed manual or a double-clutch automatic with the same number of steps will take care of the convenient transmission of power.
Of course, additional units are expected in the future. The automaker itself is already developing a turbocharged three-cylinder 1.2 and also a 1.6-liter diesel engine in cooperation with the AVL company.
Qoros 3 Cross Hybrid Concept
The second body variant that Qoros is considering is a five-door hatchback . It will be shown in Geneva as a concept in today's so popular version with protective plastics and the name Cross . The design follows the sedan, while the differences can be found only in the rear, which is quite subtle and offers a disproportion between the glass and sheet metal surfaces.
The drive is a hybrid system consisting of a turbocharged three- cylinder 1.2 gasoline engine, which is mounted in the front, an electric motor , which is mounted above the rear axle, and an electric motor, which, however, works as a generator and is located between the transmission and the gasoline engine. The four-wheel drive also matches the adventurous appearance.
Qoros 3 Estate Concept
The last body variant in the offer of the Chinese automaker will be a five-door station wagon . This will offer, in addition to a great design, the extra space that is so much in demand in Europe. Qoros did not say how big the car will be, but according to the sentence that it uses the same base as the sedan, it can be judged that at least the wheelbase of both cars will be the same.
The press release states that the rear seats will be able to fold flat with the base floor of the trunk without any problems, and there will also be a ski bag . The cabin will then offer many ideas to help shorten long and boring vacation trips.
