In the spring in Geneva, Qoros caught the attention of almost everyone – visitors, journalists and representatives of other car companies. Later, the brand's first model – the sedan 3 – went on sale in Slovakia and achieved phenomenal success in Euro NCAP crash tests , earning five stars. Thanks to the modular platform , the Chinese-Israeli car company is also preparing to enter other segments.
Qoros says that thanks to it, the wheelbase of its only current model, which has a value of 2690 mm, can be stretched by 130 mm or, conversely, shortened by 50 mm. Thanks to this, a competitor to the Volkswagen Golf and BMW 5 series can be created on one basis.
In addition to the wheelbase, engineers can also change the length of the rear overhang (shortened by 70 mm and extended by up to 230 mm) and the height of the car (up to 200 mm). The position of the front seats can also be changed – the classic position is familiar from the sedan, the small crossover will get a 70 mm raised position, and the highest position will be reserved for a seven-seat SUV.
The future of Qoros will therefore be made up of models on one common platform . In a relatively short time, the 3 Sedan model will be joined by a station wagon and a hatchback, from which the aforementioned small crossover will be created. In the medium term, a sedan is expected, competing with upper middle class models and large SUVs . So we certainly have something to look forward to…
