Production of the 2013 Ford Mondeo has been delayed

The new Mondeo sedan is struggling and it hasn't even gone on sale yet. The start of sales was planned for April 2013.

However, this deadline became unfeasible due to a number of problems with homologation, and the Ford car company was thus forced to delay the sale for another three months, so we can expect the first pieces in showrooms at the turn of May and June 2013 , i.e. in less than a year.

Earlier reports revealed that the new Mondeo is almost identical to its American sibling, the Fusion model. We can look forward to a new safety element, namely the airbags in the rear seat belts , which deploy in the event of an impact and thus increase the area of contact between the belt and the chest. The choice of engines is still unknown, but there will certainly be turbocharged EcoBoost gasoline units in the offer – specifically, a 16-liter producing 181 horsepower, and a two-liter under the hood will mean even 240 horsepower.
