The Porsche Macan is the hottest model of the Stuttgart automaker. The smaller crossover will take design inspiration from its larger Cayenne sibling and will rival the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz ML-Class and Land Rover Freelander when it launches late next year.
In order to have a sufficient idea of the model of the Porsche brand, the German AutoBild.de created excellent illustrations of the new crossover. The Macan model is to become part of the German car company's strategy until 2018. Due to the smaller Cayenne sibling, Porsche has invested 500 million euros in a factory in Leipzig, where it is planned to employ 1,000 employees for the production of this model.
The Porsche Macan is said to share some elements with the Audi Q5. However, recently Dr. Wolfgang Hatz stated that the Macan will be quite different from the Q5 , especially in terms of dynamics. All-new engines, transmissions, suspension and other things will also be placed in the new crossover. We discussed this topic in more detail in the following article .
The concept study will be presented in March next year at the Geneva Motor Show, and the serial form is to be revealed almost half a year after the concept at the Frankfurt exhibition center. The price tag should start at 45,000 Euros (about 1.14 million crowns in conversion). Sales of the Macan model are estimated at 45,000-65,000 units per year.
