Porsche Boxster 981 – First spy shots!

The legendary German car manufacturer Porsche is really taking care with new models this year. The recently introduced 911 991 series will soon be supplemented by a modernized Boxster model, which is just now being shown in spy photos in its serial form!

As Porsche is known for, the design of their cars changes very slowly and evolutionarily. The new Boxter is certainly no exception. From the front, it is immediately clear who we have the honor with, but everything from the front window pillar tries to correspond precisely with the new 911 in order to have the most aggressive appearance. The most striking elements are the air intake vents in the extended rear fenders and the discreet rear spoiler, extending deep into the taillights.

According to the current trend, the model will grow a little in length and width with each evolution, but on the contrary, the height will decrease. The new Boxster is a shining example of this. Compared to its predecessor, it grew in length by 60, in width by 37, on the contrary, it lost exactly 10 millimeters in height. However, it wasn't just the height that was shortened. Engineers removed 25 millimeters from the front overhang of the body.

What will appear under the hood is not yet fully known. However, verified sources indicate that the Boxster S version will be powered by a 3.4-liter flat-six with a maximum output of 235 kW and a torque of 360 Nm. A flat six-cylinder should also become a weaker alternative, but with a capacity of only 2.9 liters. It should supply the car with 188 kW and 280 Nm. It is also expected to have a four-cylinder unit, which should represent the basis of the Boxster and Cayman models. According to earlier reports, it should also be available in several power levels.
