Peugeot will eventually present the Exalt concept in Europe as well

The elegant Exalt concept was presented by Peugeot for the first time at the Beijing Auto Show in April, and this concept was also supposed to remain in China. However, the French lion has slightly different plans with it in the end, because it will also bring it to the Paris Motor Show in European specification .

Compared to the Chinese version, the European one differs by the design of the so-called "shark skin" in the rear part of the body. It still combines steel and fabric, but instead of bronze , it's gray . This, in combination with the rest of the body, 20-inch wheels and LED headlights, gives the Exalt a slightly more stock appearance after all. You will notice another change in the interior, where instead of engravings in the wood paneling, we find smooth wood in a salmon shade, which Peugeot refers to as Newspaper Wood . The pages of the world's most important economic journals were used for its production. The automaker has already used something similar in the interior of the Onyx concept. The composite seats are covered with fabric and leather on the sides, wool was used to cover other parts of the interior, and basalt fibers are now used instead of carbon fibers.

The 4.7-meter-long and 1.31-meter-high concept weighing around 1,700 kg is powered by the Hybrid4 hybrid system. Its basis is, of course, a gasoline engine , in this case a THP sixteen-cylinder engine with an output of 270 hp and a torque of 330 Nm, which we already know from the RCZ R coupe. This is helped by an electric motor on the rear axle, which generates an output of 68 hp. The total output of the Peugeot Exalt is 340 horsepower, which is transmitted to the wheels by a six-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to the Hybrid4 system, you can choose the driving mode on gasoline (front wheels are driven), electricity (rear wheels are driven) or a combination of both drives (all wheels are driven). With all three, you have the certainty of a six-speed automatic. Although we don't know the exact range, Exalt carries a HYbrid-kick electric scooter under the floor of the trunk to extend it.
