Paris 2012 – Toyota Auris Touring Sports Hybrid

This year's Paris Motor Show is once again in its element and there are new products from most car manufacturers on display. For example, the Japanese Toyota revealed in the world premiere its Auris Touring Sports model with a hybrid system, which is a compact station wagon of the C segment, derived from the second generation of the Auris hatchback. The car is an even bigger surprise, as the first generation did not offer anything like that. The wheelbase has not changed, so it will offer the same value as the hatchback – 2600 mm. Compared to the hatchback, the Touring Sports is 285mm longer, which could result in a really spacious boot.

It is no different in terms of design, as it is based on the five-door model. The roof with glass and rails has been extended to the rear, where it connects to the integrated spoiler. Thanks to the fifth door, the loading edge has been reduced by 80 mm compared to the hatchback. The Auris Touring Sports was presented in Paris with a hybrid drive borrowed from the Prius . If you're not a fan of hybrids, don't panic. The petrol 1.33 Dual VVT-i or 1.6 Valvematic will also appear in the engine compartment. There will even be a diesel 1.4 D-4D . The standard equipment will provide seven airbags, hill start assistant, car stability control and LED daytime running lights.

The new Toyota Auris Touring Sports will enter the European market in early 2013, prices are not yet known.
