Paris 2012 – Peugeot RCZ R Concept

At the ongoing Paris Motor Show, the French car manufacturer Peugeot presented its RCZ model in the sporty R version.

The RCZ is a beautiful coupe in its own right, but the R version took it to another level. The Peugeot RCZ R is developed in collaboration with the Peugeot Sport division and under the hood we find a 1.6-liter THP engine that produces 256 horsepower and emits CO 2 emissions of 155 g/km.

The RCZ in the R version is created against tough competition and therefore the car has gone through a lot of modifications. These start with the Torsen self-locking differential to very successful exterior changes or slight modifications in the car's cabin. The interesting thing is that the RCZ R will be the most powerful Peugeot in its entire history, that is, apart from racing specials such as the 905 FAP .

In addition to the sporty R version, the French automaker also presented a facelifted version of the "ordinary" RCZ , which is newly equipped with six LEDs for daytime running lights, or a modified, new grille. There is also the possibility to order a "thing" called the Black Pack for the new RCZ, which will change the appearance of the modernized RCZ thanks to a black mask, black rear-view mirrors or black brake calipers

However, the engines for the 2013 model year will remain the same for the standard Peugeot RCZ . A 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a power of 154 hp or an engine with 197 hp will still be available. For diesel fans, there will be a 2.0-liter diesel with 161 horsepower.
