In addition to the Type R5 and GTi , Peugeot also presented the luxury edition of the 208 XY at the Paris Motor Show . The newest lion is thus trying to get under the hands of affluent women who are looking for elegance, style and at the same time want to remain loyal to the French manufacturer.
The exhibited Peugeot 208 XY is wrapped in the new Purple Night paint, which can be replaced by one of the other five exclusive colors if interested. The shiny chrome mirrors, the contours of the front fog lights, the window moldings and the lower edge of the rear bumper stand out brilliantly in the piece on display. The fact that Peugeot has also focused on the details is supported by a light touch of paint shade on the centers of the wheels. All the efforts of the French designers are underlined by the 17" alloy wheels of the Merkur .
The interior of the special 208 perfectly matches the exterior. The leather-covered dashboard is stitched with a contrasting Purple thread, the Bélem chrome details create a feeling of true exclusivity. The 208 XY also received special seat upholstery, combining Mitha and Alcantara fabric. A certain amount of sportiness is induced by aluminum pedals and a storage area for the driver's left leg. The crowning glory is the three-spoke sports steering wheel with a flat lower part and a perforated cover.
The 208 XY offers, like the other variants of the small hatchback, a whole range of additional equipment. Worth noting is the panoramic sunroof, the multimedia center with navigation and a 7" display or, for example, the automatic parking system. By choosing these elements, however, we get far above the territory of small compact hatchbacks with the price.
Like its "cheaper" siblings, the Peugeot 208 XY will be available with a wide range of power units. The fact that the manufacturer focuses mainly on consumption means the predominant share of diesel micro-hybrid 16-litres with a particulate filter:
