Paris 2012 – Peugeot 208 Gti Limited Edition

Recently, photos of the probably already successful, sporty Peugeot 208 GTi model were released, and we already have its special limited edition.

The Peugeot 208 GTi was introduced with the intention of following up on its famous predecessor from the late 1980s and early 1990s, none other than the 205 GTI . At the Paris Motor Show, the 208 GTI was presented in the Limited Edition , which will officially start production with this version.

Only 54 limited edition units will be produced in total, with 29 cars going to the UK market. All cars will be individually numbered according to production order and will be shod on 17-inch Onyx black alloy wheels shod with 205/45 tyres.

Under the hood will be a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 197 horsepower (147 kW) and a maximum torque of 275 Nm. It will be connected to a six-speed manual transmission. Thanks to this, the 208 GTi Limited Edition reaches a maximum of 225 km / h. For stability, the car is equipped with MacPherson struts on the front suspension and a torsion bar at the rear.

The Peugeot 208 GTi will go into production in April next year, and it is the limited edition that will be launched as an initial series.
