Paris 2012 – Hyundai i30 will get a three-door version!

A few days ago, when I wrote an article about the preparations for the official launch of the Kia Pro_Cee'd at the Paris Motor Show , I had a rather wrong idea. I foolishly thought that the Hyundai i30 would only be available with a five-door body and station wagon . It is not so. Just today, the photos came into the world that disprove my idea!

What to say about the car? Looks fantastic! Unlike the Kia Pro_Cee´d , it was able to keep the original non-violent, but very predatory appearance of the rear. Looking at the photos of both cars now, I would go for the i30 . And that's something to say – in the case of a five-door body, I've always respected the Kia Cee'd more. The three-door version of the i30 also underwent more extensive changes to the front part, which is now aggressive and more in line with the car's sporty character.

It is quite clear what engines will appear under the hood of the predatory i30 . The three-door variant will share three gasoline and the same number of diesel units with the five-door. The power range of the existing units is 66 – 99 kW. However, the question arises as to whether a turbocharged 16-liter engine with an output of 149 kW will also appear under the hood of the i30 . It was just today confirmed as the top engine for the Kia Pro_Ceed .

We will provide more information on September 27 after the car's official premiere at the Paris Motor Show .
