Paris 2012 – Dacia Sandero II Official!

While others are now eagerly engaged in the presentation of the spiritual successors of the famous super sports, we will stay on the ground and say something about the brand new generation Dacia Sandero . It was more or less introduced yesterday alongside the Logan siblings , but the poor quality of the photos forced us to wait.

Like the second generation Logan , the Sandero has retained the main body line. Everything else is brand new though! Although, new? Borrowed from Logan. But I have to say that the design style suits Sander better, which could be key for sales. Those interested in a new cheap car also want style and practicality for their "small" money, which is exactly what Sander does .
The interior of the Sander is of course identical to the Logan, and I must say that it did a good job. The instrument panel with three tubes looks impressive, as does the "multifunction" three-spoke steering wheel. At first glance, the seats and built-in navigation can be praised, but the control of the electrically lowered windows under the heating switches is infuriating. Here, Dacia was probably inspired by the Fiat 500 or the Jeep Wrangler .
As I mentioned yesterday, under the hood of both the Sander and the Logan we find the old familiar gasoline four-cylinders with volumes of 1.2 and 1.6 liters, as well as the Renault 1.5 dCi diesel unit. The novelty, however, is a three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with a volume of 0.9 liters and an output of 66 kW.
For more information, we have to wait until September 27, when the official presentation of the new generation Dacia Sandero will take place. James May will be there!
