Opel will install the 1.6 CDTI diesel in the Mokka and Insignia

The Euro 6 emission standard is slowly eliminating power units with a volume of more than two liters. This is especially evident in the SUV and middle class segment, which includes the Opel Mokka and Insignia . And it is these two models of the German car company that will get the new 1.6 CDTI four-cylinder diesel engine .

In a small SUV , the engine has a power of 110 hp and a torque of 300 Nm, which, in combination with a manual six-speed manual, is enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a long 12.5 seconds, but at the same time, the Mokka claims only 4.1 – 4.3 l/100 km . The diesel four-cylinder already knows the Czech prices, starting in the Enjoy trim at 488,900 crowns (including promotional discounts). In addition to the new engine, the Mokka also enters the 2016 model year with the on-board OnStar system (including, for example, a Wi-Fi hotspot or automatic accident reporting), Abalone White and True Blue metallics and a new version of Black Roof, including black gloss painting of the roof and mirrors.

The Insignia 16-liter CDTI replaces the older two-liter CDTI (in the price list you will only find its 170-horsepower version), while the offer will have two power stages. The weaker one has 120 hp and 320 Nm, which in combination with a six-speed manual transmission is enough for consumption of 3.9 l/100 km and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.9 seconds, the stronger specification will offer 136 hp and 320 Nm, which in combination with the same six-speed manual (a six-speed automatic is also available), it is enough for consumption of 3.8 l/100 km and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds. Even this unit already knows the Czech prices – the weaker CDTI starts at a promotional price of 606,900 crowns , while the stronger one is only 10,000 crowns higher. Similar to the small SUV, the OnStar on-board system has also moved into the Insignia, the modified IntelliLink Navi 900 infotainment also "knows" the Apple CarPlay interface.
