Opel showed the sporty Adam S

The Opel Adam S , presented as a concept in the spring in Geneva, was a long way from the classic concept. This was also confirmed by the German automaker when it put the sportier Adam into production almost unchanged.

At first glance, the red lacquered roof , contrasting with the gray shade of the body, catches the eye. For those who would not like this combination, Opel has prepared another 4 shades of the roof and 9 shades of the body. The 18-inch wheels in the picture are basically replaced with one-inch smaller rims. What will not change, however, is a decent rear spoiler, a more sportily shaped bumper , new door sill extensions and a sporty exhaust tip. Less sporty details include LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights.

Inside, similar individualization awaits the owner as outside. There are four types of seats to choose from, the highlight being the really sporty Recara with Morrocana or Nappa leather upholstery. Apart from them, the instrument panel received minor modifications, the sports steering wheel is new, which can optionally be stitched with red thread together with the head of the gear lever and the handbrake lever. The basic equipment will not lack air conditioning or the IntelliLink multimedia system with a seven-inch screen, navigation with voice control and connectivity with the latest smartphones with the iOS or Android operating system.

Under the hood, a turbocharged 14-cylinder petrol engine with a power of 150 hp and a torque of 220 Nm roars. This power is transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The Adam S accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and has an impressive top speed of 220 km/h . A safe stop from this speed is ensured thanks to discs from the OPC division . To make the list of changes complete, the chassis was slightly lowered and strengthened.
