Opel showed an open version of the Adam

Until now, only the "off-road" Adam Rocks had the privilege of a retractable canvas roof . With the arrival of the new year, however, the situation changes, and with the (semi)open sky above your head, you can cruise even in a classic hatchback .

Officially, the canvas roof is called the Swing Top , the trim level in which it will be offered for the Open Air change. The roof mechanism itself (retracts electrically only to the level of the C-pillar) does not occupy any space for luggage in any position and also does not affect the view to the rear. Downloading takes only 5 seconds , and you can also download at a speed of 140 km/h! The roof itself is robust and durable, according to Opel, when it consists of several layers of fabric with a neoprene in the middle. The Adam Open Air is based on the Adam Jam model in terms of equipment composition. It is available with all engines, the base price was set at 14,990 euros (approx. 423,000 crowns).

But the canvas roof is not the only novelty in Adam's New Year's offer . The Easytronic 3.0 robotic manual gearbox with five steps can be coupled with the 87-horsepower petrol engine. Opel claims that it offers all the advantages of an automatic and the economy of a manual , which is evidenced by consumption 0.4 l/100 km lower (4.7 l/100 km in total) compared to a conventional five-speed manual. Emissions should also drop by 10 g CO2/km (a total of 109 g CO2/km). In Germany, the surcharge was set at 600 euros (approx. 17,000 crowns) and you can get a new gearbox even for a (semi) convertible.
