Opel launches Corsa on LPG

The offer of the new Corsa already includes almost everything from the extra economical design with consumption of 3.1 l/100 km to the sporty OPC with 207 hp . The last piece of the puzzle is a model with an alternative drive, which Opel is launching on the German market these days.

However, don't expect a hybrid or an electric car, the Rüsselsheim lightning is going the way of liquefied petroleum gas, or LPG . A 90-horsepower 14-cylinder petrol engine in combination with a five-speed manual transmission was modified for its use. The driver can use a switch to choose between driving on gasoline or on LPG, the tank of which can be found under the trunk floor instead of the spare wheel. The combined range is a promising 1200 km , LPG consumption is at the level of 6.9 l/100 km. At the same time, 113 g of CO2 is accounted for per 1 km of driving. The price for the German market was set at 14,745 euros (approx. 406,000 crowns) for the three-door body, respectively at 15,495 euros (approx. 427,000 crowns) for the five-door body.
