Opel is about to enter the hitherto unexplored segment of "off-road station wagons" . The segment, which for years was reserved practically only for the Audi A6 Allroad (formerly also the Allroad Quattro) will suddenly get a new face.
For the first time, we will see the "plasticized" Insignia already in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, where it will be presented alongside the modernized Insignia . The main distinguishing feature of the Country Tourer version will be a higher ground clearance, protective plastics on the fenders, bumpers and sides of the body and more prominent bumpers.
The interior will be completely taken over from the standard version , and the same applies to the range of engines and gearboxes. All-wheel drive will be offered by Opel "only" for an additional fee. In the end, the competitor of the A6 Allroad will become the competitor of the Superb Cross…
