Opel is apparently also considering an urban crossover

The Opel car company, together with its British sibling Vauxhall , decided to develop an unusual concept with which they kill two birds with one stone. What do I mean? More precisely, the Adam Rocks concept study is a prototype of an urban crossover, but with a folding roof.

If we think correctly, there are two possible solutions. The first one is that Opel is preparing a small crossover and a convertible in one, or it did not want to unnecessarily present two concepts at the motor show and squeezed it all into one, but a mini SUV and a convertible will be released in mass production. The second option is more likely. The 3700 mm long Adam Rocks study will be unveiled at the Geneva show and features the same fabric retractable roof as the Citroen DS3 Cabrio , but the rear glass remains intact on the Adam.

Compared to the standard city car, the concept has a 15 mm higher ground clearance and a 20 mm wider wheel track thanks to a special body kit that adds plastics to the vehicle's undercarriage, side skirts and bumpers. Adam Rocks also features a new set of alloy wheels, a central exhaust pipe, and plastic guards are available on both the front and rear.

Among other things, Opel also confirmed the production of the Adam Cabrio model, which probably means that a mini-crossover and a convertible are on the way.
