Opel Corsa got a new engine

The new Corsa is on sale not only as a sporty OPC , but also only with the OPC Line visual package , which is only intended to imitate the top model in appearance. Now, a slightly more powerful motor will be added to the look, bridging the gap between the standard offer and the 207-horsepower OPC.

The more powerful engine is a turbocharged 14-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 150 hp with a torque of 220 Nm between 3000 and 4500 rpm, which in cooperation with a six-speed manual transmission develops a maximum speed of 207 km/h and accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds . Consumption is on paper, also thanks to the standard stop/start system, a favorable 5.9 l/100 km, which means 136 g CO2/km.

The German customer can choose from the Color Edition equipment levels, which includes, among other things, a glossy black roof, chrome exhaust tips, chrome fog lamp surrounds, 17-inch two-tone wheels, a multifunction steering wheel, aluminum pedals and tinted windows, or Innovation , which includes, among other things, chrome door handles, bi- xenon lights with cornering lights and LED daytime running lights, automatic light dimming with tunnel detection, rain sensor or self-dimming interior rearview mirror. The basic price of the three-door version is 17,380 euros (approx. 477,000 crowns), for the five-door version you pay 18,130 euros (approx. 497,000 crowns).

An additional item is the Turbo Plus package with both bumpers, side skirts, rear spoiler, sports steering wheel, leather shifter head and handbrake lever from the OPC Line model, respectively mirrors and mask in carbon design. The package costs an additional 950 euros (approx. 26,000 crowns) for the model with three doors and 800 euros (approx. 22,000 crowns) with a pair of extra doors, for an extra fee you also get Recaro seats .
