During last year , both the Opel Vivaro and the larger Movano underwent modernization or a generational change. The series is based on smaller commercial models, the smallest of which is the Corsavan – a van derived from the three-door Corsa of the fifth generation.
As with most similarly designed cars, the trick here is to remove the rear seats , which have been replaced by a steel floor (a more sophisticated solution can be obtained for an additional fee) with practical anchoring hooks. A steel partition is installed up to half the height of the cabin, which can be supplemented for an additional fee with a string for complete separation of the cabin and cargo area. It has a volume of 920 liters and can carry up to 571 kg, which is not bad at all for a 4021 mm long, 1944 mm wide (with rear-view mirrors) and 1479 mm high hatchback.
The engine range includes a petrol 14 and two versions of a diesel 13 with a total power range from 70 to 95 hp. The most environmentally friendly will be the CDTI ecoFlex 13-cylinder diesel with a power of 95 hp and a torque of 190 Nm, which claims only 3.3 l/100 km and emits 88 g of CO2/km. Of course, it meets the Euro 6 emission standard.
Extra equipment is very rich, including, for example, the IntelliLink multimedia system with a seven-inch screen, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, automatic lights or an accident warning when changing lanes, overtaking or turning. This system uses sensors with a range of three meters to the right and to the left, and in case of danger, the LED diode indicator lights up in the relevant mirror. The system is capable of working up to a speed of 140 km/h.
The vehicle can already be ordered from authorized dealers , the first deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of this year.
