Opel Cascada will get a new engine

Opel will be very "motor" in Frankfurt . In addition to the new three-cylinder 1.0 SIDI Turbo , which will debut in the Adam, there will also be a turbocharged four-cylinder 1.6 SIDI Turbo , which will be deployed in the Cascada convertible for a change.

The large convertible already offers one SIDI sixteen-cylinder engine under its hood, but with only 170 horsepower. The new unit has 30 more of them, which will have a positive effect mainly in the dynamics of the car.

We don't know the acceleration, but the novelty will definitely reach 100 km/h faster than its 170-horsepower brother, which can do it in 9.6 seconds. The maximum speed is also higher – 235 km/h vs. 222 km/h. More than one customer could be pleased with the consumption – 6.7 l/100 km is a decent value for similar performance. 158 g of CO 2 is generated per kilometer of driving.
