The first official images of the modernized Swift have leaked onto the Internet

The small hatchback named Swift is as important to the Japanese brand Suzuki as, for example, the Polo is to the Volkswagen concern. It came really suddenly, but yesterday the first official images of the Suzuki Swift after a slight modernization were published, thanks to the employees of the Belgian Suzuki brand.

At first glance, it is not possible to tell what has actually changed. However, if we look and focus mainly on the front part of the car, we will discover the changes. Above all, we mean a completely new bumper and a redesigned mask. However, the LED daytime running lights and rear-view mirrors with integrated blinkers are more remarkable – both new elements can be found in the GLX trim level .

The engine range has not yet been confirmed, but the basic engine will most likely be a 1.2 -liter gasoline engine with a power of 94 hp and a torque of 118 Nm. With this power unit, the modernized Swift accelerates to 100 km/h in 12.3 seconds (13.5 seconds with a four-speed automatic) and reaches a maximum speed of 165 km/h.

Fans of diesel will also get their money's worth, specifically under the hood there will be a 1.3 -liter diesel engine with 75 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque. Acceleration to 100 takes place in 12.7 seconds and the Swift with diesel attacks the same top speed as in the case of petrol engine.

The premiere of the modernized Suzuki Swift will take place in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show .
