At the end of the summer, the premiere of the new generation Nissan Note took place in Japan . Since then, however, the ground has fallen behind this car, and Nissan pulled it out at the ongoing Detroit Auto Show .
There, the model is introduced under the name Versa Note , which is how the Note applied to the already produced Versa sedan in America. However, in terms of design, it does not share much with this model. The hatchback (if you want a small MPV) is significantly more dynamic and handsome than the sedan. The front mask is connected to the headlamps, the profile is dominated by the rising line of the windows, and the rear section impresses with several prominent moldings.
The interior offers space for five passengers and their luggage. All in sufficient measure. The driver's area is designed according to the latest models of the car manufacturer. In the lower part of the center console, you will find the rotary controls for ventilation and air conditioning, while the upper part is dominated by the navigation display and ventilation outlets. Compared to the original MPV Note (which was not on sale in America), the automaker has reportedly improved the quality of materials and the systematics of the interior layout.
There will be only one engine under the hood of the American version. The four-cylinder 1.6 petrol engine has an output of 111 hp at 6,000 rpm and a torque of 145 Nm at 4,400 rpm. There are two gearboxes – a 5-speed manual (only for the basic equipment) and a continuously variable Xtronic CVT .
There are four trim levels on offer – S, S Plus, SV and SL. The basic price in America was set at 11,990 dollars (approx. 230,000 CZK). Note will probably visit Europe in March in Geneva .
