Apart from the controversial Juke model, Japan's Nissan hasn't experimented much with the design of its cars in recent years. However, the new generation of the Maxima model could bring a more distinctive appearance, which will gradually be extended to other representatives of the brand.
At a recent media event in Los Angeles, Nissan showed reporters sketches of a new concept that will be unveiled to the public in January 2014 at the NAIAS auto show in Detroit . Although representatives of the brand did not say whether the car foreshadows any specific production model, it is widely expected that it is a forerunner of the next-generation Maxima model.
The new Maxima is expected already next year, when it should be presented as a 2015 model year. The January preview in the form of a concept on sketches in the gallery definitely makes sense. As can be seen in the design of the mentioned concept, Nissan is planning a more distinctive appearance of its cars.
The whole silhouette of the concept is reminiscent of a modern four-door coupe , while the front and rear parts contain elements that can already be found on current Nissans . However, they are more pronounced and expressive than ever before.
We are very curious how the concept will look like in reality. We will find out whether it will really produce a new Maxima in the course of next year. Keep watching our website for more information.
