Nissan is likely to end production of the Cube model

Nissan has released the lineup of models it will go with in the US for the 2015 model year . There would be nothing so interesting about it if the Cube crossover appeared in it. However , the boxy model is missing from the lineup , and along with poor sales, this has fueled speculation that production and sales in the U.S. will end.

Last year, the Japanese automaker managed to sell only 5,461 Cubs , while the rival Kie Soul sold 118,000 units in the US . This is already a strong reason to remove it from the offer. The speculation was further underlined by the MotorTrend magazine , which came from the statement of the American Nissan: "All I can confirm is that the Cube is on sale as a 2014 model year."

The Nissan Cube originally appeared in 1998 , but it was only in the third generation, which has been on offer since 2008, that the angular model reached the US. From 2009 to 2012, the model was also on sale in Europe , but it did not experience any significant success.
