Nissan presented a new concept in Shanghai

Nissan continues with a wave of concepts that could foreshadow bright tomorrows for the automaker. After the SUV Resonance , which was shown in Detroit and Geneva, Shanghai is presenting a similarly designed model of the lower middle class with the designation Friend-ME .

The global design center of the brand worked together with the Beijing design center to design the car. The result is a low and wide car with short body overhangs . The front part carries the elements of the previously presented SUV Resonance, an interesting element are the doors, which not only open against each other, but completely lack the B-pillar.

The interior is designed in such a way that each of the four passengers has their own seat and thus also the space around them. The center console is more or less made up of one large display, and this style carries over into the center tunnel as well. The front and rear passengers thus have one touch screen between the seats, which displays current information about the vehicle.

The concept is powered by a hybrid system known as PureDrive . Thanks to it, the model emits a minimum of emissions into the air and consumes less fuel than a conventional internal combustion engine.
