Nissan Altima Coupe ends due to lack of customer interest

Coupe versions of non-premium sedans are an almost extinct species in Europe, the honor of this category was saved only by the American market. But even here, their decline is occurring, and the latest Nissan Altima Coupe is disappearing from the market.

The Nissan Altima Coupe was introduced in 2006 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It attracted customers with its attractive design and the option to order a 3.5-liter V6 with 270 horsepower. However, the default Altima sedan was replaced by a new generation last year, so the Coupe is slightly outclassed .

This year, however, production of the Altima Coupe will be definitively ended , and according to official reports from Nissan, we will not see a new generation. The fault is the insufficient interest of customers and therefore the expected small volume of sales of the car.

The front-wheel-drive Altima Coupe is therefore disappearing, leaving the highly successful GT-R coupe as the only coupe in Nissan's range. However, this is already on a completely different level in terms of price and focus. Altima Coupe will be missed.
