The third part of our big special about the new products of 2013 is focused on new products from car companies whose initial letter starts with M – Q . Even before you start reading, I can promise that in terms of number and quality of news, part three will definitely not lag behind parts one and two !
Maserati
At the Italian trident, everything will revolve around the large Quattroporte sedan . It will be shown for the first time already in Detroit, and the Geneva (ie European) premiere will follow shortly. In addition to this large sedan, Maserati also plans to launch a smaller model, which will be called the Ghibli . The upcoming Porsche 911 competitor will not arrive until 2014.
Mazda
After the new generation of the sedan and station wagon 6 has covered all European markets, Mazda will focus on the premiere of the hatchback and sedan 3 . It should take place at the autumn Frankfurt Motor Show. Mazda is not planning any further news due to the importance of those two models.
McLaren
The British sports car manufacturer is fully prepared to challenge the Ferrari F70 and the Porsche 918 Spyder to a big fight. Sometime in the middle of the year, the serial form of the P1 concept is to be presented. Compared to the Paris version, it is supposed to be only slightly redesigned, and under the hood, a drive very similar to that of the Formula 1 machines could allegedly appear.
Mercedes-Benz
The third of the important premium German brands has perhaps the most uncharged program in terms of rejuvenating the offer. Everything will start in just a few days in Detroit, where the CLA four-door coupe and the modernized E-class will be presented in sedan, station wagon , coupe, cabriolet and AMG versions. This will be followed by the launch of the SLS AMG Black Series on world markets. At the Geneva Motor Show in March, the world will see the appearance of the sharp A45 AMG model, as well as the new S-class , for the first time. In the course of the summer, all the new products will be introduced to the market, so that the S-class in the AMG version , the CLA 45 AMG and also the strange SUV GLA can be presented in Frankfurt. Perhaps we will also be surprised by the presentation of the sharp B45 AMG !
Mini
This year, the British midget will undergo a generational change , which will take place at the IAA in Frankfurt. Before that happens, the Paceman SUV (also in a sharp JCW version) based on the larger Countryman and the Clubvan van will arrive on the market, but they will only be available in certain markets.
Mitsubishi
Another Japanese car company mainly plans to launch all its flagship innovations. The main one is the small hatchback Mirage , which replaces the old Colt and will also look to America. In addition to it, a more ecological version of the Outlander with the name Plug-in Hybrid will also go on sale.
Nissan
Nissan will certainly not be idle either. Already in January, the Juke Nismo will be seen in selected car showrooms, and the Leaf electric car will also finally go to some European countries, which will undergo a minor facelift in the meantime overseas and in Japan. From Nissan's point of view, the second half of the year will belong to the Pathfinder and MPV Note , both of which could be presented in the European premiere as early as Geneva. Sales of the upgraded GT-R and 370Z sports cars should also begin without much fanfare.
Opel
The crisis-ridden car company relies on only one thing – the success of the stylish mini Adam , which will also arrive in a convertible version at the end of the year. In Geneva, the public will see the new Cascada convertible for the first time, which is based on the Astra. In the middle of the year, we will see the modernization of the Insignia , which will receive a style not similar to the Zafira Tourer, and a new generation or facelift of the popular Corsa could also be presented at the IAA.
Peugeot
The second of the three French automakers will also fight for higher profits than before. In the declining French market, he will want to score points mainly with the small crossover 2008 , which will replace the 207 SW and will be presented in Geneva. This will also be on sale in modernizovaRCZ coupe . Just after the Geneva Motor Show, three new products from last year will reach the showrooms – the sharp 208 GTI , the more luxurious 208 XY and the electric Peugeot Partner . The second half of the year will be very important mainly from the point of view of larger models, because the modernized 3008 and 5008 will be presented in Frankfurt. At the same time, they will be complemented by the sharp RCZ-R coupe. When the new 308 will be unveiled is unclear, but some sources say it could already be in Frankfurt.
Porsche
Porsche has been very successful in recent years, which was also reflected in the car company's model range. The SUV Cayenne Turbo S will arrive on the market at the end of the year. In April, it will be supplemented by the new generation Porsche Cayman , which will be shown in Geneva together with the modernized Panamera and 911 GT3 . For Frankfurt, Porsche is hiding other variants of the 911 model (Turbo and Targa) , the small Macan SUV and probably also the production version of the 918 Spyder model, which could be shown even earlier.
Qoros
A big unknown is the Chinese car manufacturer Qoros, which will show its products for the first time in Geneva. Specifically, it will be the GQ3 sedan , which wants to replace the Golf, and several concepts that could turn into a smaller SUV or MPV at the end of the year.
