New Seat Toledo officially presented!

The Spanish car manufacturer Seat , an equal member of the Volkswagen concern, has officially presented the production version of the new generation Toledo model these days.

In terms of design, the new Seat Toledo is no different from the concept that was presented in March at the Geneva Motor Show. For the fourth generation, the manufacturer went a little to themselves again and after the unsuccessful previous version (family MPV ) bet on unified corporate shapes. Even a less sharp eye will therefore not miss that this is a hot-blooded edition of our Skoda Rapid .

The new Seat Toledo is 4.48 meters long and has a respectable wheelbase of 2602 millimeters. Compared to the second generation (let's take it as a spiritual predecessor), a noticeable 80 millimeters have been added, ensuring more interior space, especially for passengers on the back seats. As with the Skoda Rapid , there is also a wide-opening trunk lid.

A number of the concern's power units are ready for the Seat Toledo . The basis is a 1200 TSI engine with an output of 55 kW, the more powerful petrol variant is represented by a 1400 TSI engine with an output of 90 kW.

There is currently only one diesel unit, namely a four-cylinder with a volume of 1.6 liters and an output of 77 kW, which boasts direct fuel injection. In the course of 2013, a weaker variant with a power of 66 kW will complete the engine range.

The new Toledo will go on sale in Spain and Portugal already in November. Other European countries will follow at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year, as in the case of the Skoda Rapid .
