New police car for the Finnish police – CLS Shooting Brake

Some Friday has already passed since the premiere of the German stylish station wagon, and if you can't remember, the debut took place at last year's Goodwood Festival of Speed . More precisely, the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake now defends the colors of the Finnish police in the 350CDI 4Matic version.

At the beginning of this year, the local magazine Tekniikan Maailma (Technology World) asked its readers which person or institution would deserve a new vehicle and also asked about the specific car that would be most suitable for the lucky person in question. Naturally, such a question is not asked in every issue, only now, as the 60th anniversary of the magazine was just celebrated.

After placing the poll, the readers voted and chose the Finnish police as the most suitable subject. And what car was chosen? The vast majority of readers chose the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake 350CDI 4Matic , as it is considered the most compatible vehicle for the police.

In the engine compartment there is a turbocharged six-cylinder diesel with a capacity of 3.0 liters , a power of 262 hp and a torque of 620 Nm. It reaches hundreds in 6.7 seconds and the maximum speed is electrically limited to 250 km/h. The stylish CLS Shooting Brake station wagon is not only fast and practical, but also quite economical – it achieves an average fuel consumption of 6.6 l/100 km .
