The Lexus IS , the Japanese rival of the BMW 3 Series, is currently offered in its third generation , with the latest generation being presented at the beginning of this year in Detroit. To make matters worse, the TRD company also recently published what the new Lexus IS would look like in their presentation.
TRD , or Toyota Racing Development, has revealed the new Lexus IS with the F Sport package and its modifications. The special aero kit includes more pronounced side sills, corners on the front bumper, a rear diffuser with four exhaust tips as well as an integrated spoiler on the boot lid. The highlight of the exterior modifications are the 19-inch alloy wheels with fifteen spokes.
Of course, TRD does not forget to modify performance or technology. New to the new Lexus IS is a sports suspension that lowers the ground clearance and promises better driving characteristics. Unfortunately, the powertrains have not undergone any improvement, and therefore the IS300h will offer 220 horsepower. The IS250 version has 207 horsepower and the IS350 has 306 horsepower.
Currently, the said aero kit for the Lexus IS is only available in Japan. We will pay approx. 9,500 Euros for a complete modification package (about 248,000 crowns in conversion).
