Motoring Fallacies – Daf Daffodil

Daf Daffodil (Daf 33)

Daffodil stood at the top of the car company's range above the 600 and 750 types. These were the cheapest cars with an automatic transmission on the market. Therefore, they soon became synonymous with slow, inexperienced and older drivers. In 1967, Daffodil was renamed Daf 33 to unify the car company's numerical names. However, the car company continued to produce cars with a unique transmission until it was taken over by the Volvo brand in the mid-1970s.
