Volkswagen handed over a symbolic check for the amount of CZK 211,100 to the Motol University Hospital in Prague. This is the proceeds from the auction of the unique car mom up! , which was created in cooperation with the television program Autosalon TV Prima Family and other partners as an ideal car for mothers with the smallest children.
" We are very happy that we were able to support this charity project, which brought in a considerable amount of money. The money raised will be used to purchase new technical equipment for the delivery, storage and cooling of baby food for the dairy kitchen department of FN Motol in Prague, " says Petr Janeba , head of the Volkswagen passenger car division.
" We appreciated the good idea of the Volkswagen company and are glad that they chose our dairy kitchen at the University Hospital in Motola. Every donation will bring joy and this one will please our nurses, mothers after giving birth and their babies, " said deputy for nursing care Mgr. Jana Nováková .
Unique mom up! became the star of the TV show Autosalon TV Prima Family in autumn 2012. The styling of the five-door Volkswagen mom up! designed by ABT Sportsline . The unmistakable exterior was complemented by an ingeniously designed interior that met all the needs of caring mothers and their babies on the go. The companies OZ Racing , Barum , Babypark , Carlex Design , WrapStyle and Lexani Racing also collaborated on the project.
Original Volkswagen mom up! was auctioned on the business portal Aukro.cz . From the starting price of CZK 1 , the final price rose to CZK 211,100 within ten days. The entire amount was donated to the dairy kitchen of the Motol University Hospital in Prague, which will spend the money raised on new technology for the distribution of baby food and its storage in children's wards, as well as on the addition of a PC connection for the automatic temperature reading and recording of the baby food cooling system.
The dairy kitchen department is an independent workplace of the Faculty Hospital in Motola and provides comprehensive nursing care in the field of pediatric dietetics. High-quality and healthy meals are prepared here, especially for newborns and children under 2 years of age, in order to ensure the nutrition of small patients in all departments of the hospital.
