Mitsubishi has modernized the large off-road Pajero

At a time when the world sales charts are dominated by SUVs , off-roaders like the Mitsubishi Pajero are a welcome change. However, even the immortal Pajero is getting old and the plans of the three diamonds already include a successor , more oriented towards SUV lovers. All the more interesting are the latest reports from Japan, which present a modernized Pajero for the 2015 model year .

What's new? So, above all, the front part with a more prominent radiator mask (supposedly in the style of the brand's latest concepts) and a new bumper, which, in addition to the fog lights, now includes LEDs for daytime running lights . The spare wheel cover has been modified in the rear, and the three- and five-door versions are still available.

Changes to the interior mainly include new materials on the dashboard, where you can now choose wood trim, and silver plastic around the ventilation outlets. The sound insulation in the area of the doors and dashboard has been improved.

The Japanese version has a three-liter six-cylinder petrol or a 3.2-liter four-cylinder diesel under the hood, both of which have permanent four-wheel drive and a five-speed automatic transmission. The price starts at 2,921,400 yen (approx. 584,000 crowns) for the short version, or 3,272,400 yen (approx. 654,000 crowns) for the longer version.
