Mitsubishi introduced the new Triton

Perhaps a little surprisingly, one of the best-selling Mitsubishi models worldwide is the Triton pickup truck, known in our country under the designation L200. After nine years, the three diamonds have undergone an extensive modernization , and the Triton is entering the market completely new.

The novelty takes its design inspiration from last year's GR-HEV concept , which can be seen especially in the front part with a silver radiator mask and LED diodes for daytime running lights in the main reflectors. The rising line of windows stands out from the profile, but this will only be characteristic of the Double Cab version shown. Extra Cab and Single Cab arriving later will not get it. The interior is dominated by a seven-inch screen of the multimedia system and a three-spoke steering wheel, which is also known from other models of the car company. There will be several colors of leather upholstery to choose from, and for the first time ever, the Triton will have an electrically adjustable driver's seat and keyless entry.

The pickup with a frame structure received not only a reinforced chassis, but also a stiffer body, which brings with it greater safety for the crew. The level of noise and vibrations penetrating the cabin was also reduced. There are four engines under the hood, of which only the 2.4-liter engine with a capacity of 128 hp and a torque of 194 Nm burns gasoline . The other three, starting with a volume of 2.4 liters with a capacity of 181 hp with a torque of 430 Nm and ending with a pair with a volume of 2.5 liters with a capacity of 128 hp with a torque of 240 Nm, respectively 178 hp and 400 Nm, burn diesel . Depending on the motorization chosen, the pickup truck will receive a five- or six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic, the all-wheel drive will be supplemented by a rear-axle drive only .
