Mini Paceman John Cooper Works – 218 hp and 4×4 drive

The British car manufacturer MINI , which has been under the wing of the giant BMW Group for many years , presented a new variant of the Paceman model at the Detroit Auto Show . This is the most powerful version, proudly bearing the John Cooper Works label .

The regular version of the MINI Paceman was officially presented to visitors at last year's Paris Motor Show. However, the sharp version of John Cooper Works was able to attract many times more people at its Detroit premiere. It differs from the classic Paceman by a stiffer chassis setup, 10 mm lower ground clearance, more prominently shaped bumpers, extended sill extensions and cast 18" wheels.

Under the hood is the same engine that can be found in other versions of the JCW . It is a turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine with a volume of 1.6 liters, with an output of 155 kW and 280 Nm of torque (up to 300 Nm when using the overboost function). The unit is connected to a six-speed manual transmission as standard, a six-speed automatic can be purchased for an additional fee. The sophisticated All4 all-wheel drive takes care of maximum traction.

The MINI Paceman JCW accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 225 km/h. Everything will be classically accompanied by free-sounding tones wafting from the exhaust. However, the fuel consumption, which should not exceed 7.4 l/100 km, is also interesting.

The MINI Paceman JCW will be available on the US market starting in March at a price of $36,200. The date of arrival on the Czech market is not yet known.
