MINI Paceman JCW Officially Revealed!

Yesterday, the first pictures of the sharp Paceman John Cooper Works model appeared on the Internet, and then the British automaker realized that it was no longer worth keeping anything a secret. That is why photos and information about the new model were officially revealed today.

Even the Paceman JCW will boast a special 'John Cooper' aero kit and a different set of 18-inch (19-inch optional) alloy wheels to differentiate it from the classic variants. In the engine compartment there is a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder with an output of 218 hp and a torque of 280 Nm (with an overboost function of up to 300 Nm). A six-speed manual or automatic transmission is available in the menu. The sharp crossover with an automatic reaches a maximum speed of 223 km/h, while with a manual the highest possible speed is 225 km/h. Acceleration takes place in 6.9 seconds regardless of the gearbox.

Of course, MINI engineers gave the new model stiffer suspension and a sports chassis, which reduced the car's ground clearance by 10 mm compared to the Cooper S. In the car's cabin, there is a Sport button on the center panel, which, when activated, sharpens the throttle response, stiffens the steering and changes the composition of the exhaust. With the automatic transmission, thanks to the activation of the Sport mode , shifting delays are shortened. Under normal conditions, the ALL4 all-wheel drive system sends exactly 50% of the power to the rear axle via the electromagnetic differential. Conversely, in extreme conditions, all performance forces go to the rear axle.
