MINI Countryman Coupe caught testing

We all know about the fact that BMW is putting a lot of money into the MINI brand, just as it is clear to everyone where MINI would be without German support. However, the crisis has long since been overcome, and those interested in something exclusive no longer have to choose only from the color swatch, but also from the entire range of models. The good news is that soon the portfolio of the brand will grow by another piece. This time it is a Countryman with a coupe body, which is currently undergoing a rigorous testing phase.

If you remember the MINI Paceman concept that the automaker presented in January 2011, you are looking at its civilian version. The great thing about all this is that the design of the car differs from the concept only in the details, so we will really see what we admired from the region last year. As you can see, the maskers didn't bother with the front part, but they covered the rear half of the car all the more. However, more drastic changes are not expected here either.

Under the hood, the same engine lineup as available for the Countryman is likely to appear. This means that we can also look forward to the top version of the turbocharged four-cylinder THP with a volume of 1.6 liters and a maximum output of 155 kW. Classically, however, we can expect it in the most powerful John Cooper Works version.

The production version of the MINI Countryman Coupe will be presented to the public at the Paris Motor Show in September. We can expect the start of sales from around 2013.
