The MG6 received a much-needed diesel engine

A diesel engine is vital to success in the C and D segments . However, this option was not offered until recently by the car manufacturer MG , which also sells its sedan or liftback 6 on the British market.

However, this situation is rapidly changing these days! The MG6 received a 1.9 DTi-TECH diesel engine, which was developed by the parent car company SAIC and is the very first diesel engine from this company!

The engine output rose to 150 hp and the maximum torque of 350 Nm is available from 1800 rpm. A 6-speed manual transmission transmits all the power to the front wheels. Thanks to it, the MG6 1.9 DTi-TECH can accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and can accelerate to 193 km/h. However, with diesels, economy is the most important. The MG could do better here, but a combined figure of 5.3L/100km is more than decent value. During one kilometer, you release 139 g of CO2 into the atmosphere.

The new engine will be available in three trim levels ( S, SE and TSE ) for the liftback and only one ( Magnette ) for the sedan . The basic price of the model in the liftback version is 16,995 pounds (approx. 526,000 CZK) and 21,995 pounds (approx. 680,000 CZK) in the sedan version.
