MG introduced a new small car

The formerly purely British and now half-Chinese car manufacturer MG is one of the most controversial names in automotive history. The legendary brand disappeared at the beginning of the 21st century and came under Chinese ownership. They didn't know what to do with it for a long time and finally resumed production in England . Today, MG is once again racing to the top of the automotive Olympus. Will he be able to regain his lost position?

That remains to be seen, but after the lower-mid range model MG6 , which has already been produced in Longbridge since last year and received a relatively positive reception in the media, the production of the city model MG3 will soon also start. It will be included in a category dominated in recent years by Volkswagen Polo, Renault Clio or even our Skoda Fabia.

He will primarily want to attract potential clients with an unusual design . It is based on the three-year-old MG Zero concept , which celebrated its premiere in Beijing. A distinctive feature is the narrow front grille and headlights, which seek inspiration from those of the larger MG6. A less widespread phenomenon for smaller cars are LED daytime running lights. In the rear part, the main design pillar is the prominent lights and the diffuser, which, however, will be the privilege of only some versions.

There will be a total of 3 in Europe – TS1, TS2 and TS3 . The 4015 mm long model is powered by a 105 horsepower VTi-TECH four-cylinder engine that works with a five-speed manual. Production and sales of the European version will start in the second half of this year. What do you think, will he also look at the Czech Republic?
