Mercedes CLC ready for New York

The German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is already unstoppably preparing for the auto show in New York. Wondering what will be the main attraction at the manufacturer's stand with silver arrows in the emblem? First of all, without a doubt, the CLC model, which will be based on the platform of the previously introduced new B-class, while according to the brand's philosophy, it will be a compact alternative to the luxurious four-door CLS coupe.

The new CLC will represent a new entry model in the sedan category. Together with class A and B, they will be the cheapest option to enter the luxury world of Mercedes.

However, it does not end there. Mercedes is working on the development of another alternative to the B class. It will be a compact SUV that will proudly take on the BMW X1, Audi Q3 or Range Rover Evoque. 250 CDI and 180 CGI units could appear under the hood. The start of production of the GLC model is planned for 2014.

However, it will certainly not be out of the question to clarify how it will be with the drive of the CLC and GLC cars. Due to its origin, the B-class cannot be expected to have any option other than front-wheel drive. After all, this follows from the official statement of the car company, which will provide its small cars with the same MFA platform.
