Mercedes-Benz modified the legendary G-Class off-road

I probably don't need to introduce the field legend of the three-pointed star marked G for a long time. This car has never had a problem with cross-country ability, and it also has style to spare. But if you somehow want to add everything, you will have a six-wheeled monster !

And it is not the work of some crazy tuner, but the work of Mercedes , which is responsible for this car together with the Austrian company Magna Steyr . You might be wondering why this particular company, which I will be happy to explain. The basis of this monster is a military special for the Australian army, which Magna produces for Mercedes.

The length of the body is 5867 mm (1105 mm longer than the classic "Gecko"), the height is 2209 mm (+272 mm) and the width is 2111 mm (+226 mm). The entire work weighs 3,775 kg , and thanks to the body, you can also carry some cargo in the back.

After the bodywork is made, the AMG department takes the car to the show. This replaces the classic 320 CDI "army" diesel with a bona fide 544bhp twin-turbo V8 . The maximum torque of 758 Nm is then transmitted to the road through all six wheels with the help of the seven-speed 7G-tronic automatic transmission. Mercedes claims that this "little thing" can sprint to 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds and accelerates to 160 km/h. Then the limiter stops it.

Off-road capabilities are truly spectacular. Front approach angle 52 degrees, rear 54 degrees and ground clearance 460 mm . What more could you ask for in races across fields and rivers…

And a bomb at the end! The G63 AMG 6×6 is not just an empty cry in the dark. Mercedes really wants to produce it in limited annual production ! The price should be around CZK 10,000,000, and the first pieces could be shipped to customers roughly in the middle of October this year.
