The German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has apparently decided to start confirming the dates and locations of the premieres of its planned models. It recently revealed where the smaller CLA four-door coupe will be unveiled, and it will be at the Detroit Auto Show next January. It was a matter of time when the debut location of the range- topping CLA45 AMG would be announced.
Mercedes-Benz stated about two days ago that we can expect a more powerful CLA45 AMG model at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which takes place in September 2013. In the spy photos, we can notice more aggressive bumpers, aerodynamic side skirts, dual exhaust tips, a subtle spoiler and also five-spoke alloy wheels, under which are high-performance brakes.
Under the hood, a 2.0 -liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder with a power of 335 horsepower and a torque of over 400 Nm will move in. The engine, which is also found in the A45 AMG , will be connected to a seven-speed gearbox with a double clutch, which will transmit power to all four wheels. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes place in less than 5 seconds and reaches an electronically limited maximum speed of 250 km/h.
