Mercedes-Benz A-Class 2013 – illustration of the three-door variant!

At this year's Geneva Motor Show, the German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz presented the new generation A-Class . It was transformed from a classic small MPV into an elegant five-door hatchback competing with, for example, the Volkswagen Golf . An illustration of the new Áček in a three-door version has now appeared on the Internet.

Looking at history, we find that the Áčko with three doors was offered in the second generation under the designation W169. In the current generation, we can only find a five-door variant for now. In the future, Mercedes also plans other derivatives from the new A-class , specifically the four-door coupe CLA and the small crossover GLA . For the time being, there was no talk of a three-door hatchback, but competitors in the form of the BMW 1 Series and Audi A3 are offered in both body styles.

However, the German brand will definitely want to grab a smaller "bite" from the sales of three-door hatchbacks, so maybe in time we will see an A with three doors. In the attached illustration, we can see that there are no significant changes. Only the front doors have grown in length for better access to the rear seats. All available engines and the top A45 AMG with 350 horses would get under the hood.
