Mercedes-Benz in New York presented the top of the G-Class range – the G 65 AMG model . So, it will now be called the Mercedes-AMG G 65 , as is the new custom. Although Germans, Arabs and Russians already know this car well, Americans will be able to buy it for the first time.
The ultimate angular off-roader is powered by a six-liter forked twelve-cylinder engine with two turbochargers and an output of 621 horsepower, with which it reaches 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 230 km/h. The car has a seven-speed automatic transmission . New on the car are ten-spoke alloy wheels, V12 Biturbo emblems on the fenders and new front and rear bumpers. Further technical details will be published by the automaker only before the start of sales, which is planned for November. As is tradition with the G-Class, production will take place at the Magna-Steyr factory in Graz , Austria.
